The triumvirate burst onto the scene at Audible Treats’ 2009 CMJ Showcase, where they performed together for the first time, and they premiered their first single, “Roc Raida Tribute,” shortly there after, in honor of the fallen DJ.Since then, the trio has been working on the project’s full album, which includes their single “The Bronx.” This track goes hard.I’m actually digging Sadat X again.Is it me or did his voice and lyrics take a L when he got out of jail a couple years ago?And thats coming from a longtime Sadat fan.

New Snoop joint.I got to confess I like this joint a lot.I haven’t really been a fan of Snoop musically since the 90’s.But this joint is nice.The demo of this dropped a few months ago minus the Snoop verses and I liked it then.I had reservations when I saw this again today and Snoop was on it.But he did justice to the beat with his old school flow.I guess you can’t count a good dog out:(

In support of her involvement in the Urban Wellness Projects, National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness day initiatives, recording artist Melody Angel sets to release her latest single, “The Death of Me.” The song is inspired by the fight against HIV/AIDS among women and young girls. Melody Angel hopes that this song will reach the hearts and minds of people everywhere. The reality of the disease is that it can affect anyone in the world. With this song, Melody hopes to encourage people to take responsibility over their bodies because HIV/AIDS doesn’t offer a second chance. Melody Angel will be performing “The Death of Me” in Chicago on March 10, 2011 at the Safe is Sexy and Sexy is Safe event presented by the Urban Wellness Project. This event will provide information and rapid HIV testing for attendees. Safe is Sexy and Sexy is Safe is being hosted by Actress and Activist, Erica Hubbard of BET’s Lets Stay Together. The event will include complimentary refreshments and a performance from Melody Angel as she performs “The Death of Me” for the very first time.

A native of the Southside of Chicago, Melody Angel first discovered her love for music at the age of 7. As a child, she was mostly inspired by Michael Jackson and Slash in the “Dirty Diana’ video and then by Prince in “Purple Rain.” After watching the movie, Melody decided that she wanted to be as free as they were while performing on stage. In addition to being a talented vocalist, Melody is also a musician who plays the guitar, drums, bass and piano. She is a huge fan of rock music as she gets most of her inspiration from the likes of Michal Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Slash and Prince. Melody Angel finds her inspiration to write music based on her own life experiences. Most people may remember Melody Angel from her stint on MTV’s show P. Diddys Starmaker or from her many Youtube videos, but Melody Angel is ready to expand her horizons and become a household name. She is currently working on her long anticipated self-titled debut album.
