Hopefully the ring didn’t have any sentimental value cause that was not only slick of the guy who gets the ring but very amusing.
At a Shakira concert in Monterrey, Mexico last Thursday (Apr. 7), one fan received more than a great show — they stole a ring right off of the Colombian pop star’s finger.
Vodpod videos no longer available.A fan video of the incident shows Shakira shaking hands with her fans using her left hand while clutching a microphone in her right hand. One hand she shakes seems to linger before pulling away, and Shakira quickly looks back to find the fan before looking down at her hand. Like a true professional, Shakira is not phased by the theft and continues her performance.
Although Shakira will likely never see that ring again, she could replace it with a handful of trophies at this month’s Billboard Latin Music Awards, where she has 13 nominations. After the ceremony airs live on April 28, the singer will kick off a European tour the following night in Abu Dhabi.
