The Roots is an American hip hop/neo soul band formed in 1987 by Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter and Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This performance was part of Mark Eckos first Save The Rhino’s event.Which The Roots headlined with openers from The Boot Camp Click, DJ Premier on the 1& 2’s, Dela Soul , Dres, Sadat X, & more.Pretty good Roots performance but I was kind of banged uop during it.You can read more about that sadness Here…. So I was lucky enough to run across this today on Youtube.Even though I was their it was like watching it for the first time :(.
