He lives in Brooklyn, New York. Poster Boy also refers to a ‘Poster Boy movement’ where other people produce similar unsigned work in the New York City subways imitating this original artist.

With a backdrop of changing political times in America and the continuing worldwide economic crisis, political satire is seemingly experiencing a renaissance in New York City.

Preferring to remain anonymous Poster Boy NYC is said to be a group or movement who use razor blades to cut out and re-arrange elements of billboard images on the New York Subway to make both political and satirical statements about contemporary issues. Their belief is a simple one, one mans vandalism is anothers political art turning Subway stations into their own public art galleries.

On February 21, 2009, an advertising firm handed Poster Boy a MoMA jacket and gave him free range of the MoMA branded Atlantic-Pacific subway station in New York. Turns out the firm wasn’t supposed to do that, and MoMA fired them. Whoops.
